Jewelry packaging sizes: measure the piece, plan the fit.
Learn what to measure for ring, earring and necklace packaging. Compare item, insert and box dimensions, nominal pouch sizes and the complete packed order.
The jewelry, insert and outside pack have different dimensions. Record them separately so the quotation and sample refer to the same arrangement.
What to measure for each piece.
Use millimeters or inches consistently. Photograph the jewelry beside a ruler and note the layout you want to show when the box opens.
| Piece | Record before asking | Review on the sample |
|---|---|---|
| Ring | Band width, setting height and overall profile. | Holder slot, removal space and clearance under the closed lid. Explore Chestnut PU Ring Box. |
| Earrings | Drop length, width, post projection and backs; photograph the complete pair. | Mounting position, space behind the pad and access for removal. Explore Chestnut PU Earring Box. |
| Necklace / pendant | Pendant width, length and thickness; chain and clasp arranged as intended. | Presentation footprint, chain path and room behind or beneath the insert. Explore Chestnut PU Necklace Box. |
| Bracelet / bangle | Bangle diameter and height, or bracelet layout and clasp. | Support shape, closure clearance and how the piece is removed. Explore Chestnut PU Bracelet Box. |
Item size is not the box size.
- Jewelry dimensions: the piece and its proposed arrangement, including posts, chain and clasp.
- Usable insert space: where the jewelry sits, the support around it and the room needed for removal.
- Internal box dimensions: the agreed cavity and clearance with the insert fitted.
- External box dimensions: the outside of the finished pack, including the construction and covering.
Ask the quotation to identify which dimensions are being used. Agree clearance around the actual piece and insert rather than adding a universal allowance. Jewelry-box dimensions are confirmed for the selected project.
Drawstring pouch size references.
These are the nominal sizes listed in the current collection. They are not measurements of the usable space after seams and gathering.
| Design reference | Catalog size |
|---|---|
| Sand Drawstring Pouch — 70 × 90 mm | 70 × 90 mm |
| Sage Drawstring Pouch — 100 × 120 mm | 100 × 120 mm |
| Ivory Drawstring Pouch — 120 × 160 mm | 120 × 160 mm |
Check the piece, seam allowance and gathered top on a packed sample. See the relative size silhouettes.
Measure the complete order for the mailer.
- Assemble the intended inner box or pouch, jewelry, card, wrapping and packing material.
- Record the full packed footprint, height and weight. Note what can move or touch another surface.
- Specify the proposed mailer dimensions, units and whether they are internal or external.
- Review packed fit, closure and handling with a sample. Agree any transport testing for the destination and route.
A useful first message.
Share a product photo, the piece dimensions, your preferred packaging and an approximate quantity. If the insert or box size is undecided, start with that question. Use the quotation checklist when you are ready to gather the rest.
