A clearer brief starts with a few useful details.
Prepare the product dimensions, quantities, artwork and sample questions that help shape a packaging quotation.
You can ask a first question without a finished brief. When you are ready to compare a quotation, gather the details below.
- What goes inside: a photo, item dimensions and weight. For a box, label the requested packaging size as internal or external and include the units.
- The packaging format and intended use.
- A rough quantity and any planned variants.
- Print areas, artwork and finish ideas.
- Insert, card and any secondary packaging.
- Sample scope and what needs approval.
- Delivery destination and the timing you want to discuss.
Ask what the quotation includes, which costs are separate and when the lead time starts. Keep unknown items marked for discussion.
